The blog got a bit of a rebrand. Recently I have been inspired to write more in an effort to grow my skills as a writer and storyteller. Tonight as I sat down and started working on my website the words “personal blog” (the previous title of my blog) didn’t feel like they would suffice anymore. While literal and clear they didn’t seem to reflect what I wanted this page to be. I want this to be more than a collection of personal ramblings or recent thoughts. I want it to be a home for creativity and a place for every idea I have to germinate.
After sifting through a number of titles I landed on Frame by Frame. I made a quick logo and incorporated some of the things I am passionate about.
The large rectangle on the right that encases the word “by” symbolizes a frame from a movie. Above the first “Frame” is another rectangle with 5 vertical lines running through it representing a musical staff turned sideways. Music is a huge part of what I do and something I love to talk about. This rectangle is reminiscent of a barcode which is used to identify items. All of these items within the logo help explain a large part of my identity: a personal “barcode” if you will.
Frame by Frame I found simple and open ended. The title is an invitation to take life one day at a time, a reminder that some frames may be overexposed, blurry or missing audio files but they can still tell a beautiful story. I’m ready to share my stories and the only way I know how is one frame at a time. So let’s do it “frame by frame”.
